Hello
To the core, I am an idea person, a project person, and someone who makes things. I love being around people who are equally excited and want to share what they’re doing. Continuing to learn and trying something new is important to me in growing as a more dynamic artist, designer, and maker.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (twice!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Creative Writing and a second in Graphic Design and Multimedia Communications. At the heart of what I do, what I love most is building experiences and nurturing the love of reading, creativity, and imagination in children. An ideal environment would be in the field of education, plus multidisciplinary, allowing me to take projects from start to finish through concept development, design, and installation.
In hiring me, you’ll get more than just a Graphic Designer or Illustrator. You’ll get someone who has worked on many different projects with experience and confidence to tackle to bigger ones. From collaboratively designing and installing a room for an immersive, theatrical, interactive art experience with a talented group of artists, to branding an annual fundraising event that raised more than $2.75 million dollars for aviation education programs. Someone with a variety of skills – skills not limited to small and large-scale print design, digital marketing design, communication with printers/vendors/clients, children’s book illustration, carpentry, and gardening. Aside from wearing many hats, I am someone with a strong, Midwestern work ethic (accent and enormous love of cheese included). And someone who is passionate about life and fueled by dreams. I would love to work on a team that is equally enthusiastic and passionate.
